Transfer Data Between iPhone and Android with FoneLab HyperTrans

How to Use FoneLab HyperTrans to Move Contacts, Photos & Messages

FoneLab HyperTrans is a desktop tool for transferring contacts, photos, messages, and other data between iPhone, Android, and computer. Below is a step-by-step guide to move contacts, photos, and messages quickly and safely.

What you’ll need

  • A Windows or macOS computer with FoneLab HyperTrans installed.
  • Source and target devices (iPhone or Android) with working USB cables.
  • Latest iTunes installed if you’re working with iPhone on Windows.
  • Device unlocking and permission to trust the computer on each device.

1. Install and launch HyperTrans

  1. Download and install FoneLab HyperTrans on your computer.
  2. Open the app.

2. Connect both devices

  1. Connect the source device to the computer via USB.
  2. Allow any prompts on the device (Unlock device → Trust this computer / Allow USB debugging for Android).
  3. Repeat for the target device.
  • If only transferring to/from computer: connect just the device you want to export or import.

3. Select source and target devices

  1. In HyperTrans, confirm the source device appears in the device dropdown (top-left).
  2. Select the target device from the target dropdown (top-right).
  3. If the wrong device is selected, switch using the device icons.

4. Transfer Contacts

  1. Click Contacts in the left sidebar.
  2. Preview and select specific contacts or click the top checkbox to select all.
  3. Click the Export button and choose the target device (or export to CSV/VCard on computer).
  4. For direct device-to-device: choose the target device and confirm.
  • Notes: Ensure contacts sync (iCloud/Google) is off if you want a direct file copy.

5. Transfer Photos

  1. Click Photos in the left menu.
  2. Browse thumbnails and select photos/albums to transfer.
  3. Click Export → choose target device (or export to computer).
  4. Wait for transfer to complete; large batches may take several minutes.
  • Tip: Use the filter/sort options to find recent or large files quickly.

6. Transfer Messages

  1. Click Messages in the left sidebar.
  2. Select conversations or specific message threads.
  3. Click Export and choose target device or export format (HTML/CSV).
  4. Confirm and wait for the transfer to finish.
  • Caveat: Some message attachments may not transfer between different OS types; export to computer first if needed.

7. Verify transferred data

  1. On the target device, open Contacts, Photos, and Messages apps to confirm items appear.
  2. If something’s missing, re-check permissions and retry the specific category export.

8. Troubleshooting common issues

  • Device not detected: reinstall drivers (Windows), enable USB debugging (Android), update iOS/tethering settings.
  • Transfer stalls: try a different USB cable/port and close other heavy apps.
  • Missing items: export to computer first, then import to target device.

Quick checklist before transfer

  • Backup source device (optional but recommended).
  • Disable auto-sync services that may overwrite transfers.
  • Keep both devices charged and unlocked during transfer.

This process will move contacts, photos, and messages using FoneLab HyperTrans efficiently. If you need specific steps for Windows vs macOS or iPhone vs Android edge cases, say which devices you’re using.
